ROZENKA BROSCA - THE WARDEN - HERO OF FERELDEN

Commoner Dwarf - Duelist Rogue

◇ Name: Rozenka Brosca
With being a hard pregnancy and a harder birth on both child and mother, Kalah had no interest in naming a runt of a baby born so soon to die. It was her father instead who named her, and Berom was careful and patient with it as he was with her squirming body and ragged wailing. 'Rozenka' he decided on. A name he'd never heard spoken, of his own creation, so that it belonged only to her truly. Rare, that were they ever to be parted, by name alone he'd know it was his one and only Rozenka.
◇ Pronouns: She|Her or Any
Rozenka's never been fussed with what people called her, most did not care for to ask for her input, on herself or otherwise.. If you were to ask her she'd somewhat prefer she|her, but ultimately she doesn't care at all by which pronouns she's addressed by.
◇ Gender: Agender Woman
Although born a woman, Rozenka did not care much to live as one as the Dwarven society demanded to see fit of her. She was far too poor to pay it a pretty thought. So much of her is a 'wrong' woman that she could never fully see herself a woman wholly, but also never straying to far away from it to be 'not a woman'. She and some have called her woman, but Rozenka would not correct anyone who would call her otherwise.
◇ Sexuality: Unlabelled
Rozenka grew up in a society where labels dictated anything and hers as Castless meant she was nothing. She quickly grew to hate most labels, especially those demanded by others, and instead embraced an identity not meant to be described by anyone, but instead felt, only ever by her.
◇ Age: 19
◇ Race: Dwarf
It was hard for Rozenka to see herself as a true Dwarf when it was dwarves themselves who despised her very existence, in standing and memory. She considered herself more Castless than she ever did Dwarf. Even after she'd acquinted herself with the surface, where her brand was nothing but ink to skin, and all with eyes merely saw a Dwarf. She would always hesitate to call herself one.
She just been 19 for a little while when the story starts. Rozenka might be young but she's never felt it. From being Castless to becoming a Warden and then one of the last in Fereleden is a lot to deal with but she's used to dealing with life hardest and heaviest hits. It's only at 19 that she truly grows, and it's not entirely welcomed, but it's here to overstay.
◇ Origin: Commoner Dwarf
The first thing Rozenka ever knew was that she was Castless and the second was that it was all she was ever supposed to be. Castless to Orzammer and Dwarf to the rest. How little did Dwarven society and the rest of the world know that persistent rage, no matter how small it's container is, can take you far the same way a candle can lead you through the darkest night.
◇ Class: Rogue
Rogue is the best class to fit Rozenka's versatile skills grown out of her survival. When crime is all of life she'd come to know, she quickly learned to sneak in and out of any place, hide at any time, and most importantly, finding the sharp edge to any ordinary weapon when her daggers are out of reach. She's never seen them as merely skills or tricks, but as her way through life.
◇ Class Specialisation: Duelist
Although a fighter, Rozenka prefers her fights done and over with one quick precise slash. She's accustomed to dodging and blocking and her reflex works as a third and sharpest dagger against any attacker. She finds anything heavier than light armour a hindrance to her agility and swiftness.
◇ Romance: Alistair Theirin
Rozenka hadn't considered romance in her life as it would, no doubt, be another person to look out for and she already had her hands full with her sister and mother. She was content to sit it out. Alistair, on the other hand, was hard not to care for. He was the first person to show her kindness, all within his eyes and smile, without reason for her, relation to her, or expectation of her. She disregarded those feeling, knowing nothing would come out of them, nothing good, not for him. How wrong she was. And how much joy she found in being oh so wrong.
◇ Traits: Direct - Aggressive - Self-Reliant
So much of Rozenka's personality came from her survival. She knows she'll always be more bad than she'll ever be good, but for her it was never a choice, just one of life's cold hard facts. She holds her head down, but never so low in surrender or subjugation. There is pride in her yet. It was not blood, but rage, that kept her heart beating. Kindness was not something she ever had the privilege to offer and she wouldn't know what it looked like for a very long time.
◇ Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Rozenka's alignment during her time before the warden is best reflected with chaotic neutral. It was born, much like so much of herself, out her strife with survival and she didn't hide it. There's no handouts for the Castless. She does all that she has to to get all that she needs. An ally today can turn into a target tomorrow and an enemy one day she can stand by another. It all depended on what she could get out of it.
◇ Appearance
Rozenka's one of the taller dwarves standing at 150cm that people look twice before callig her a Dwarf. She's more scars, cuts, and freckles than she is skin. Her weight is more muscle than the healthy fat of hearty meals. She has a very obviously crooked/broken nose. Not the most hairy but she doesn't shave what she has. Her hair is a deep shade of red so many described as bloody and a choppy uneven bob cut by her own hand and dagger anytime a strands gets in the way of her work. A few braids done by Rica's loving hands flit in and out. Throughout the story, she gets a lip and two brow piercings, her brand is adorned with the grace of roses, and her hair grows the longest she could tolerate with the tips grazing her chin. She's coded to be ethnically ambigiously brown.
◇ Objects: Cloak of Shadows & Thorns of the Dead Gods
Rozenka is never without her invisibility cloak or her bleeding daggers. A certain odd runecrafter enchanted her cloak as repayment for their safety. It allows her to seamlessly blned with the shadows as long as she's silent, none are the wiser of her off shade of darkness. With it she's in, she stabs, she's out.
As for her daggers. The legendary Thorns of the Dead Gods. Once they were one blade of the Grey Warden that would struck down Toth, Archdemon of Fire. His blood seeped into the marrow of the blade and mutilated into a weapon of chaos. Now they are three daggers. Two Roxenka keeps on her wrists, wherever she kept the third, only the soon to he dead would ever know. Many have called the dagger blessed, many more cursed, whichever they are, all that matter to Rozenka was that they stayed sharp.
◇ Profession: Carta ⇒ Warden
As expected of those born to Dust Town, Rozenka was, like any other duster, tied to the Carta. Noted for all the scrappy fights she'd win and the quick hand of a thief, she joined exceptionally young. It wasn't something she wanted to do, but who expect anything else of her?
It was mostly violent and always messy. Her cold demeanor and no questions asked attitude for Berath's every bloody whim soon garnered her an unapproachable reputation.
It was never a job Rozenka wanted to do with such ease, but it was done because someone was needed for the job and she needed coin. Those hands who could not commit treachery themselves at least could stomach to hand her coin in renting hers.
◇ Homes
Born in Orzammer's forgotten and dusty corner that was Dustown, Rozenka had never trult called it home, only a place she knew and the only one she ever would, but there was comfort in knowing Rica was with her.
It was only after she climbed to the surface world that she learned what a home could be. She found, as a Warden, that is wasn't necessarily a steady place as she once anticipated, but a walk next to Alistair. Wherever they went was home as long as they stood together.
◇ Faith: None
Rozenka had no faith to give to any god but herself. She could care less about any other religion, but the Stone and the so-called Paragons the dwarves revered and prayed to she hated with all her being. If not a soul cursed either it was because she was dead. In her return to Orzammar, she found no ounce of honour in being titled a Paragon of her own, to be carved into stone next to those before her who forsaw her worth deemed as nothing and merely stood over it. She only embraced it for its many merits and refused to be called by the title to her face.
